ProgramsAll "in-house" programs and tours are $2/person.Artifact/Activity TourThis “gloves-on” tour begins with the “I Can’t Believe IT!!” activity where students have to use deductive reasoning to figure out the artifact. From here, students use their map reading skills and newly learned artifact skills to find an exhibit and find answers. This tour ends with the mystery challenge. Chair TourExperience our museum from the comforts of a camping chair (for group sizes of 10 or Less). This FUN tour introduces students to our exhibits while moving our chairs from place to place. The trick is to balance on these chairs!! Included is a “gloves-on” activity with artifacts and a mystery challenge. The Underground AdventureJoshua Glover escaped from his master in Missouri in 1852 and became a member of the Racine County Community for two years before being captured. Look into his life as an escaped man and how the Racine community joined together to free him. This event led to national attention as the State of Wisconsin fought against the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850. Besides the exciting Racine story, this program has the participants take on a slave identity and play the RHM’s Underground Railroad Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Game. Exhibit TourThis is a guided tour of the museum beginning with our newest exhibit, Racine County: Factory for the World. We touch on how exhibits are constructed, why we chose the topics we have, and our upcoming events.
